Divinity II : Ego Draconis

This game is what I've been looking for. AWESOME, period. Action-packed third-person against huge monsters dragons goes toe-to-toe with the skin-to-skin combat; Charging a dragon with melee sword in hands, blasting with courage and action combos. Can't forget the adrenaline pumped up when comboing a massive dragon directly unto it, thus win by slaying it physically.
Actually I didn't think it's a RPG. It IS an action beat-em-up combined with stunning, huge areas to explore and interactions. The features to craft Diablo-style random items are fantastic. This game would have great replay value.
This is game is simply 'awesome' to me.

Life is so hard without her at my side.

There's no one giving me food. There's no one giving me drink.

My boyscout's is in. But it won't last forever for me. There are times when I have to eat real food. I'm used to drink milk to grow. I'm used to drink water to anti-oxide me. Now where's it. Must I retreat to hand on with this,?

I must retreat from war from now. I must stop my moving forward for now. I must take care internal matters' care at the cost of my move forward.

And I dunno if I cannot continue anymore in the future, if no one's take it.

Way of Solitude

It has been long time since the greatest hero died. The hero who conjures energy and power to blast them off.

There's no sound while sand wind blows over the desert, where the great battles once beheld. The hero has gone. The remains of defeated enemies are still there, unmoved. But where's the hero? What should happen when other enemies came?

How can we defend? Can we defend?

And there they come.

"Father! Help me!" What's that sound? Clearly it's not the sound of the hero. Who is that?

A look for. A child! Pure, inexperienced,. Stupid so oh naive.
I must run. I must escape. I must find my own way to safety. I must return to my Father's house!

Run! Run! Run!
I must find a weapon to arm myself. Oh, look; There's a gun. Pick it up. Only six bullets inside it.
Fire! Fire! Two bullets shot. Run! Only must manage to find a new passageway each time. Where's it? What's the next? No! Keep thinking, keep running!

Ah look! There's an elevator!
Press the button. Waiting the elevator to come up. Comeonnn!...

They approached fast.

Fire! Fire! Two more bullets shot. Shit, how can this be. Pick up a stone nearby, throw them! Still no match for their numbers! Nevermind! Go! Throw the stones! Shit.

100 metres from them, and the elevator still not up.

Fire! Fire! Last two bullets. Shit, run out of bullets.
...

Gotta search for something... Gotta search for something!! Whatever something!!
Dig it! The ground with your fingers!! Find anything go weapons!
Look for anything!!

Oh look! A magazine buried! Oh thank you. reloading.

only 50 metres away, still reloading.. Oh shit.

25 metres away, still reloading!

Shit..!

Alright, reloaded.
Fire! Fire! Fire! Fire!

The elevator opens!

Fire! Fire! Get in the elevator, press any button. The doors begin to close...
Oh no, too close. Some of them entered the elevator. Kick them out! Punch them! Grab and throw them out!

Damn,..

..At least I'm saved.

..I'm saved for now.

What's next?...

Unification War: Massive turn-based web game

Recently I become fond of this turn-based game: Unification Wars.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc79/andrern2000/UnificationWars.jpg

The galaxy is massive, wide, infinite, and unlimited space in Unification Wars. The game is about galaxy domination. Your empire starts small with only 1,000 planets (wow, got many? Hey, there are still more planets out there!). Each planet can be assigned for housing population, commerce, industry, agriculture, or mining. Each will provide accomodation(s) to your galaxy system.
This game allows you to choose from a total of 3 playable races, and an addition of 3 more races for paid account (yeah, this game also has payable account, which brings up even more ships types, expanded features, or etc.), each race has advantage. For example: Terran has more commercial yields, while Aspha Miners has more mining and taxing benefit.
To gain additional planets, which are your sources of income, activites, and thus military defense, you need to explore using available scout ships. And this can be done with just one click (one turn nets you about 1,000 planets!). Found free planets can be assigned to one of five categories above.
At the start, you will have only one planet system, but as the your progress develops, you can start additional planet systems (total has 8 common systems + 4 alien systems) which you can employ planets into. Each system has different benefit(s). For example: Dark system gives additional defense %, Capital system gives additional commerce income, Farm system gives additional food supply, etc.

Later, exploring planets will yield diminishing results. The easier way later to gain planets, is by attacking other empires which can be done easier if you enter a Federation (clan). Also, by entering a federation, you will get support from members' outposts; This feature allows clanmates to automatically reinforce other mates' defend when they're under attack, even when they're offline. The clan's leader (also known as Lords), usually has ample of credits and foods, which are vital for development for low-level players. They would help low-level players by reinforcing through fundings.

Later, when you're strong enough, you'll command massive number of fleets to conquer other empires. Combining different types of ships also affects the war outcomes. A good tactic and combination will be more effective than ships of one-type.

This game is addictive! There's startup facility for newbies and guides along the way. The missions' rewards alone are promising, enough for you to progress by yourself. Furthermore, with the help of a good federation lord, you can progress very quickly to level-up your system and creating strong army.

The server is divided into 3 game speeds, which can suit everybody's worktime:
- Real-time: Fast turn rate replenishment, low max turns bank. (for unemployed/student).
- Hourly: Medium turn rate replenishment, medium max turns bank. (for people who has internet at office)
- Daily: Slow turn rate replenishment, high max turns bank. (for people who play not too often).

The Project

I'm beginning to make a 2D game. This game is planned to be side-scrolling beat 'em up game. I'm learning much of the game aspects now. I have been starting the project since January 2009, but up to now I've just put it here on the blog.

Here's my current progress:
- Test Menu screen
- Transition between menu
- Sprites: Animation, Timing, Collision, reaction with other objects.

I'll look into more progress.
